Dizzy
You close your eyes, then kiss your hand
And blow it, but it wasn't meant for me
And I notice if the choice was ours alone
Then why did we both choose letting go?
Does it end like this?
Time never had a chance to heal your heart just a number,
Always counting down to a new start.
If you always knew the truth
Then the world would spend around you
Are you dizzy yet?
Respectfully, some honestly,
I'm calling out
Do you hear this conversation we talk about?
Back away to the safety of a quiet house,
If there's half a chance in this moment,
When your eyes meet mine
We show it all,
Not talk a lot
to think we were living dreams
Shame never crept close to our naked feet
If there's something left to lose then don't let me wear my shoes
I'm still walking.
I tried, but it rang and rang
I called all night from a payphone (remember those!)
from another life.
If everything I ever meant to you
You can lick and seal,
then fold in two.
Then I've been so blind.
I'm calling out
Do you hear this conversation we talk about?
Back away to the safety of a quiet house,
If there's half a chance in this moment,
When your eyes meet mine
We show it,
take it all back
take the first,
your last
your only,
take it all back
Everything you showed me
This must be how it feels
When the feeling goes
I told you as I hovered
I'd never felt this way
You said:
I had the shot that stops my clock,
Baby it's okay
You said you'd never have regrets
Jesus!
Is there someone yet who got that wish?
Did you get yours, babe?
I'm calling out
Do you hear this conversation we talk about?
Back away to the safety of a quiet house,
If there's half a chance in this moment,
When your eyes meet mine
We show it all.
1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be "meetings."
3. There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
4. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.
5. You should not confuse your career with your life.
6. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
7. Never lick a steak knife.
8. The most destructive force in the universe is gossip.
9. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe daylight savings time.
10. You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.
11. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age eleven.
12. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above-average drivers.
13. A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.)
14. Your friends love you anyway.

Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen Dempsey born February 1st
Cute. Weird names. But cute. Just like their Daddy!

aaliyah (the singer) was really alive.
she faked her death because she found out she was adopted
and that her mom was a white lady
who ended up being brandon's mom.
(but it wasn't dottie)
max and bono were also in it.
and aaliyah and i were running away from
thugs in new york city.
anyone want to try to analyze that?
it's funny because whenever i wake up way early thinking she'll wake up early
she wakes up later than usual.
figures.
i'm excited for tonight.
im eating a soggy croissant
i'm a little nervous about talking to the counselor.
i want a hashbrown.
<3
i cried 90 percent of the time.
and the ending sucked.
anyway..
i think that's all
and i swear it's still february
did the ground hog decide it's spring
did i miss that?
mondays and wednesdays are boring.
really.
i love history
but i'm surprised i don't fall asleep in these classes.
wouldn't it be funny if
i got my history MA and Doctorate
and decided I didn't like it all that much?
Ha Ha.
Kidding.
i should be going to my next class,
but the teacher in the class before mine
always lets his class out late
so im not going yet.
i randomly started to miss someone.
and it's bugging me.
i thought that door had closed,
but apparently it was still open a crack.
mais, c'est la vie.
i don't have anything else to write.
i'm tired
and i guess i should get going.

vanessa williams plays the queen of garbageland in some sesame street movie.

"Spam. There was no denying it. I came from a Spam culture. Everywhere in America it was just another day. Tomorrow people in Dallas, Chicago, and New York would meet for coffee and talk about the stock market. America, the land of milk and honey, where in times of crisis citizens are often asked by their leaders to do their part for the country by 'going shopping.' And this night, like every night, millions would gather around the black box, remote in hand, for their daily dose of novocaine. Oblivion, one night at a time. Wouldn't it make sense if the politicians, instead of asking us to shop our way out of duress, were to encourage us to take a hike to the top of the nearest mountain or go fishing or make more love? Or never take them at their word? I'd vote for that canidate." - Fools Rush in by Bill Carter
I am reading that ^ book right now, and it is so far pretty amazing. It's a true story about a guy in his twenties who travels as an escape mechanism and decides to go to Sarajevo to find the love of his life. It sounds dumb, but it's really, really good.
i'm going to see some friends from out of state
the very trip that you were supposed to take
a while ago
but it fell through
like all of you
like all of you.
thought i'd make the drive
but a free plane ride is in the air
and just like that my fear of it disappeared
like all of you
like all of you.
and i look high and low for yesterday
high and low for you and i
high and low.
once i can see straight,
i might move somewhere cold
like seattle or the bayarea; to see your ghost
what's left of you
what's left of you.
and i look high and low for yesterday
high and low for you and i
high and low.
i found a letter to a man i might have met,
addressed to you
and i'll steal the words he might have ended with:
i miss you
and i do
i miss you
and i do.
and i look high and low for yesterday
high and low for you and i
high and low.

i'm totally in mommy mode
and it's creepy
cos when i talk to taylor i say "mommy wants a cookie"
or something
because that's how you're supposed to talk to babies
(so they can put your "label" with you)
and now i do that to my cats
and brandon.

at school i'll start doing it.
you just watch.
i'm excited to start school
i'll stay on top of things...
